We realise that if we are to operate a sustainable business we must develop our employees so that they can add value not only to the company but also to the wider community.
Employee Volunteering
Personal Development, by way of employee participation in community activities, is actively promoted through the company’s Give Me Five employee volunteering programme. Our parent company AWG manages the scheme whereby for every 5 hours “own time” spent on agreed community activities, AWG and Morrison Utility Services (subject to individual Line Management authorisation) will match “company time” up to a maximum of 30 hours per year.
We have received various awards and recognition for our Give Me Five programme including finalists in the Business in the Community Category of the 2005 Hertfordshire Business Awards, highly commended awards from BITC in East of England, for volunteer team of the year and for employee volunteer of the year. We have also been recognised for our entries in the last 3 Utility Industry Achievement Awards for our community involvement.
