In parallel with the sale of four gas distribution networks, NGT re-tendered their Term Contracts for the retained network areas.
The scope of work included in the new contracts includes; Policy and mains replacement, connections, emergency and repair works together with reinstatement of both contractor and NGT DLO works. Connections work has been reintroduced to the core scope from 1st July, having previously been undertaken under a separate contract by Fulcrum connections.
Morrison has been awarded Term Contracts for East London and East Anglia areas. Which are for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. We were subsequently requested to take over the West and Central London areas.
The contracts were initially mobilised with 28 mainlaying teams, 21 reinstatement teams, 9 Technical Service Engineers (TSE) and management / administration team strength of 21 personnel. Primary offices are based at West Hornden near Basildon, Hitchin and Slough, with an operational depot at Colchester. A collaborative approach between Morrison, NGT, their suppliers and Alliance contractors will ensure that NGT business objectives and targets are met.
