The contract worth £11.5 million over five years, commenced 1 July. This is the second contract Morrison has secured with the Riverside Group, following its successful tender last year with Riverside Merseyside North.
Guy Wakeley, Chief Executive of Morrison, comments: “To sign five contracts in two days is an amazing achievement and demonstrates our commitment to moving the business forward. The successful mobilisation of four of these contracts on the same day was a huge a job and it is a testament to the dedication of everyone involved that we were able to accomplish this.
“To date we have won seven new contracts this year and have three more due to complete by the end of July. We are still seeing a lot of new business opportunities and have a healthy bid pipeline in place for the second half of the year. In the current economic climate social housing providers are under pressure to improve efficiencies and are increasingly looking to the private sector to meet these requirements.”
