Morrison Strengthens Executive Board with New Appointments

Leading repairs and maintenance provider Morrison, has strengthened its executive team with the appointment of Andy Cornaby and Gordon Brockington.

The new appointments are part of Morrison's ambitious growth plans, which has seen the company winning a number of large contracts this year and developing a pipeline of opportunities worth over £1.7billion.

Andy Cornaby has been appointed as Managing Director for the central region and is responsible for Morrison's operations in the West Midlands, East Midlands and East Anglia, as well as sitting on the executive board of directors. Andy joins Morrison from Mears Plc, where he held the role of Director for Central England.

Andy has worked in the repairs and maintenance industry for the past 30 years and brings with him a wealth of operational knowledge, particularly within the central England region.

Commenting on his appointment Andy said: "Morrison has undergone some fundamental changes to its business over the past 18 months, which makes this a very exciting time to join the company. The central region is an important growth area for Morrison and my role will focus on developing new and organic business opportunities, as well as ensuring we deliver continuous improvement to our existing clients."

Gordon Brockington has been appointed as Business Development Director, responsible for Morrison's national business development strategy. Gordon, who joins Morrison from records management company Iron Mountain, manages both the bid and lead generation teams as well as sitting on the board.

Gordon has brought with him strong strategic vision, as well as a good understanding of the public sector environment. His expertise in contract negotiation and bid management has resulted in the successful delivery of recurring organic growth and in identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Commenting on his appointment Gordon said: "I am delighted to be joining Morrison's executive team and to be able to play a key role in helping Morrison become the market leaders in the repairs and maintenance sector.

"My aim is to move Morrison from its position of market leader in repairs and maintenance, to thought leaders in this exciting market place, driving ‘true' change to the benefit of our clients and ultimately the lives of our tenants."
