CIH Annual Conference and Exhibition proves a Success
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) annual conference and exhibition in Harrogate (16-18 June) provided an ideal opportunity for Morrison to raise awareness of its new branding and approach to the industry.
The CIH annual exhibition is the largest housing event in the UK and Europe’s largest housing exhibition; it is attended by over 6,500 people over the course of the three days.
Morrison’s new eye catching branding was highly visible at the exhibition both in terms its colourful stand and its branded trailer, which was taken to Harrogate for the first time as part of Morrison’s awareness raising campaign.
The focal point of the Morrison stand was its “Conversation Pod”, which provided visitors with an opportunity to share their views on a series of questions relating to repairs and maintenance, including a couple of questions which are being asked as part of the Tenant Services Authority’s (TSA) National Conversation. Over the course of the event nearly 100 people’s responses were filmed in the “Conversation Pod”.

Guy Wakeley, Chief Executive of Morrison, commented: “This is the first opportunity Morrison has had to unveil its new branding to such a large industry audience and overall the event was very successful. It has played a significant role in helping us to raise awareness of our new branding within the marketplace, as well as providing some excellent networking opportunities.
“The introduction of the “Conversation Pod” was a key initiative for us at Harrogate, as it allowed us to engage with a wide range of people and gauge their views on repairs and maintenance services. We are now analysing these results and will look to use the information to improve our service offering to our clients and tenants.”
Morrison also hosted a corporate lunch for clients and key industry professionals, which included a key note address from Wayne Hemingway, founder of HemingwayDesign, on the need for more sustainable social housing.
