A newly launched Handyman service, which offers free assistance to elderly and vulnerable council housing residents in Rotherham, has proved to be a roaring success. In just eight weeks, the scheme has completed over 100 jobs in the borough ranging from installing curtain poles to removing bulky items from lofts.

The Mayor and Mayoress of Rotherham have made a special visit to the Morrison Yorkshire Training Academy in Rotherham to meet some young apprentices who are currently studying there.
