Morrison, a leading provider of maintenance services and capital projects to the housing sector, has appointed a new Partnering Manager to its North East business.

Morrison has started the year as it means to go on with seven new contract wins worth over £53million. These wins take the total value of the repairs and maintenance provider's new contracts since April 2009 to over £397million, with a potential worth in excess of £464million subject to contract extensions.

A joinery apprentice, who lost his job as a result of the downturn in the construction industry, has been given a second chance to complete his training by local firm Maintenance and Property Care (MPC).
