A joinery apprentice, who lost his job as a result of the downturn in the construction industry, has been given a second chance to complete his training by local firm Maintenance and Property Care (MPC).

Earlier this month Edge Hill Station played host to a Victorian Christmas fair organised and supported by Morrison, housing association Riverside and arts and cultural organisation Metal Culture.

An area of Crawley's Green Walk near Broadfields Stadium has received a spruce up thanks to the hard work of a team of volunteers, who carried out a morning's litter picking in the area.

The team of 14 volunteers, was made up of managers from leading repairs and maintenance provider Morrison, their partners and children. In total the team collected 20 large bags of rubbish as well as a number of unwanted items, including a bike! Morrison carries out repairs and maintenance work on council owned void properties throughout the borough, on behalf the Crawley Council.
