MORRISON THURROCK
Thurrock has a Big Lunch!
Our Thurrock team has been busy giving local tenants a big lunch and lots more!....
The big lunch is an idea that was created by the Eden project, which is an educational charity and social enterprise that supports national events. The concept for the big lunch is to encourage as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to meet up and have lunch with their neighbours in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.
One sunny day this Autumn, it was the turn of Grays Town Centre Park in Thurrock to host a leg of the ‘big lunch’. Over 300 people took part and Morrison were one of the many local business invited to have a stall. The Big Lunch included lots of neighbours getting together in the garden in order to take part in a big party with plenty of food, music and decoration.
The Morrison Thurrock team were present to soak up the atmosphere and get to know our residents and community better. During the day, the employees were on hand to speak with residents, answering their many questions about Morrison’s services and also giving out lots of free Morrison merchandise, including mugs and trolley keys. There were a lot of VIP’s present at the event, including the Mayor Charles Curtis who spoke to the Morrison team about visiting the Thurrock office at Alexandra House to get a better understanding of how we work in partnership with Thurrock Council.
Well done to the entire Thurrock team for coming to support this great community event.
