MORRISON REDBRIDGE
Community Health Kick
Continuing the programme of community development, Morrison Redbridge has recently donated gardening equipment for a family allotment project called ‘Growing Kids’. This was developed to encourage families in Redbridge to grow their own healthy food and to get fit in the process.
Equipment such as spades, forks, wheelbarrows and watering cans were purchased, and then given to the group.
Stephanie O’Leary, co-ordinator of Growing Kids, said:
“Without the generosity of Morrison, this project would not be able to run. Many families have benefited during our first year and with the equipment provided, we will be able to move the project forward during the next season and extend the project to many other families who wish to learn about the environment and live a healthier lifestyle”
