MORRISON NORWICH

Bayer CropScience showcases winning chemistry

S6001321

Each year Norwich is the venue for the Lord Mayor’s procession, where local businesses build floats and compete for best in show as part of the festival.

This year, the Morrison East Anglia team got involved and showed off their creative side! The Morrison East team played a key part in helping with the  design and fabrication of the BayerCropScience float in this year’s festival which, under the theme of ‘International Year of Chemistry 2011’ was entered  into the procession.

Morrison has had an on-site maintenance team at the Norwich  BayerCropScience site for more than 6 years, early in our partnership as part  of the CityCare joint venture and since April 2010 as Morrison, following the  retention of our handyman contract and the successful TUPE transfer of Rob  Blyth and his team. Rob, together with his colleague Barry Bardsley helped  with the float construction prior to the day, and then dressed as two mad professors joining the Bayer staff and family members on the float during the procession.

The float was awarded the 2nd Runner-up prize in the competition which was  a fitting end to a very successful day for all those who took part and for our  client.

Well done to Rob and Barry for displaying such admirable fancy dress and  construction skills and making the day one to remember!
