Race for Life

Everyone knows someone who has been affected by the terrible disease of cancer. Jillian Jeffries working on Morrison's PFI contract in Livingstone has unfortunately experienced the sad loss of close friends and family members and felt it was important to do something to help raise funds for the cancer research charity.

Jillian decided to take part in the 5k Race for Life on Sunday 31st May. Jillian commented ‘we had a great day out, the sun was shining and it was inspirational to hear everyone's heart warming stories, especially those who have pulled through thanks to treatments made available with the help of charities such as cancer research.'

The race took place at Calendar Park in Falkirk with 2500 woman participating. Jillian and her group of friends managed to raise nearly £1000.
