Canal Clean Up

Morrison recently teamed up with HMR Pathfinder New Heartlands and partners to clean up the Bootle stretch of the Leeds Liverpool canal. This was in preparation for the opening of the brand new  extension to the canal along the historic Liverpool waterfront, utilizing and upgrading the existing dock basins and creating new sections of the canal channel as required.

Brian Gates, Community Development Manager said ‘Morrison are committed to working with its partners and the wider community on schemes like this and find it encouraging to see people give up their spare time restoring local pride.’

A big thank you to everyone involved and especially Sara Gilliland who gave up her unpaid time to assist by clearing the tow path and promoting the Morrison/Riverside partnership.
