MORRISON LAMBETH
Lambeth in Bloom
The Lambeth team have been blooming marvellous to their community recently by sponsoring the Lambeth Estates in Bloom Competition.
All the local gardening enthusiasts gathered at Lambeth Town Hall for the annual Estates in Bloom award ceremony, where more than 130 of the region’s top gardeners came to compete, with the winners receiving a series of awards for their horticultural achievement. This is the eleventh consecutive year that the competition has been run, and with seven categories ranging from domestic balcony displays through to sheltered scheme gardens so that gardeners of all ages, tastes, interests and abilities were catered for.
Morrison provided £2500 towards the awards ceremony and Thames Account Director Gary McFarlane was on hand during the competition to present the winner and two runners up of the “Community Garden” category with their prizes. The team also sponsored Arlington Lodge, winner of the best kept estate category with approximately 200 plants to assist during their campaign to win the title, in conjunction with Pinnacle, our Estate Services Contractor.
During the build up to the event, the Lambeth team assisted several estates with plants and shrubs, provided fertilizer and improved flower beds which significantly contributed to a greener environment. Lambeth Living Chief Executive, Neil Litherland said ”The floral displays on estates have been amazing. The level of gardening expertise that tenants have displayed is second to none, and has made a huge contribution to brightening up the local environment.”
Well done to Gary and the Morrison team for helping Lambeth bloom.
