Salix paint the town red at Petrie Court
The Morrison Salix team joined forces with their client Salix Homes to assist residents at Petrie Court re-decorate their communal lounge and rooms this October.
Petrie Court is a supported accommodation project in Lower Broughton, which specifically supports 16 to 24 year old single homeless people. The idea of the project was to use apprentices to teach young residents some useful basic skills in decorating that they may need when moving into their first property.
Salix Homes is currently undertaking a number of projects to empower and involve young people. Wolseley kindly donated the paint and Morrison the staff, to help the project get started. Salix Homes donated brushes, overalls and rollers for the residents to continue the project and Lynne Kenyon, manager at Petrie Court, remarked that residents were thrilled at the help and
support shown.
Well done to all the Morrison operatives who helped paint the inside of the building for the residents.
