Meet the Buyer

Hackney Borough Council recently hosted a construction ‘Meet the Buyer Event’ at Shoreditch Town Hall. As a key procurer of construction services London Borough of Hackney invited Morrison to take a joint partnership to attend this event. This half day event was attended by a whole range of construction firms from general building firms to more specialist SMEs.

On the day Morrison was provided with their own private meeting area where it gave Morrison the opportunity to meet suppliers face to face to discuss any up-coming projects or simply to get to know their business .The purpose of the event was to have the opportunity to meet new suppliers, boost Morrison’s supply chain and help the local economy overcome the recent credit crunch. 

The event was successful and Hackney Homes really appreciated Morrison’s participation. It also presented a perfect opportunity to present Morrison’s sub-contractor selection criteria to enable local SME’s to be considered in joining our existing supply chain.
