Happy Birthday Hackney Offices

Hackney workers had good reason to celebrate this October with the first anniversary of their brand new offices opening.

The anniversary was recognised with a special party which provided a fantastic opportunity for clients and contractors alike to visit the new premises and see for themselves the progress made and the pride the Morrison employees have in their working environment. Approximately 50 attendees, including tenant representatives and Hackney board members attended the event, which proved to be a huge success and a party to remember.

Partnering Manager Nemendra Singh firstly gave a welcome speech, followed by the presentation of a £350 cheque by Simon Hayes, Morrison Managing Director South Region to Gary Putwain, Group Facilities Manager at Hackney Homes. The cash raised included sponsorship money from Morrison to Hackney Homes staff members who carried out a charity bike ride in aid of The Stuart Feakins Trust Charity - an organisation which helps young people living in Hackney gain new experiences, define their aspirations and achieve them – a worthy cause indeed!

Mark Drury, Partnering Director, was both impressed and pleased with the turnout and appreciated the opportunity to interact with the various Hackney Homes senior staff in attendance. Needless to say, much food and drink was enjoyed by all as the event continued into the afternoon – congratulations Hackney!
