Shepway Clean Up

On a sunny day back in August, the Morrison Shepway team hosted a local repairs day for residents and local community members down in Lydd.

Working in partnership with East Kent Housing, the Shepway team and their local cleaning contractor all got stuck into the communal clean up as well as a  host of various other activities throughout the day. During the afternoon,  everyone worked together to carry out litter picking duties, as well as report  and complete jobs and take queries from tenants. Whilst members of the  team were helping with the community cleanup, others stayed behind to assist tenants and their families.

The Morrison waste tipper was also available on site for those who wished to  bring rubbish or required small clearances, which proved to be a great success. Account Director Simon Roberts, commented “We had a great event with the local community and several jobs were completed that day, with  many larger works being booked in for later dates.

An electrician and multi- trader were also on hand throughout the day and without them, the day  would have not been as great a success as it was, so well done to everyone  who came to help!”
