Practice Interviews - Ninestiles School

On Friday 8^th May 2009, members of the finance team Debby Royds & Seema Sangar from the Midlands Region attended Ninestiles School in Acocks Green Birmingham.

The purpose of the day was to help 260, 14-15 year old students to prepare for their upcoming work experience interviews. The aim was to boost students’ confidence and give them valuable feedback from someone from the world of work.

Debby Royds commented ‘the mock interviews that were held at Ninestiles School in May were well organised and I thoroughly enjoyed helping out. It felt good to be able to give the students helpful hints when been interviewed and I hope they benefited from it as much as I did, as it gave me the opportunity to brush up on my own interview skills!’

Debby continued to say ‘Looking back at some of the feedback I believe this exercise was successful and it was nice to see how much confidence the children had gained in just over an hour with me. They left feeling comfortable that they now knew what they needed in order to be successful in an interview and that the tips I had gave them were useful. They were all very pleasant and polite and were a pleasure to work with.’
