The commencement of partnering contracts very often involves the transfer of large teams from the client partner’s service delivery organisation or a secondary transfer from the client partner’s incumbent service provider. It is a legal requirement that these transfers take place in full compliance with Transfer Of Undertaking (Protection of Employment) Regulations TUPE.
Morrison have a long track record of managing these sorts of employee transfers and we have gained an excellent reputation with staff, clients and the unions for the way in which we handle the process.
It is a legal requirement that the terms and conditions of all staff transferring are preserved, but Morrison not only aim to maintain the benefits of employment but set as an objective the improvement of opportunities for each individual that transfers. We engage in structured long term training of each individual throughout their career with us.
We employ tried and tested staff transfer processes, but the context and environment within which staff transfers take place often varies, so Morrison are able to make adaptations to this process in order to accommodate the specific needs of client and its staff.
Our transfer process will always include detailed communication with key members of the client management team, the trade unions and one to one consultations with each individual member of the transferring team. This means that staff are consulted, involved and kept fully informed as the staff transfer takes place.
Summarised below are some of the major contracts under which we have successfully managed the transfer of large teams.
