Looking after our people

We care about our staff and we want to get the best out of them. Whether your staff are seconded or transferred to Morrison, they are in safe hands.

We realise that the majority of staff do not want to change employer, no matter what protections are in place. Handled incorrectly, the process can be an uncertain and stressful time.

Man at windowMorrison is proud of it's approach to managing the transfer of staff, and the results it has achieved. To date we have transfered more than 4,000 staff, without losing a single day due to disputes. We aim to keep it that way.

For most staff, moving to Morrison is a positive experience. Many recognise the opportunities that the move represents and appreciate the new ways of working.

We are equally keen to recognise people's skills and ideas and can help develop employees' careers. Where skills shortages exist, we have implemented modern apprentice schemes. Our apprentice scheme in Birmingham was many times over-subscribed, demonstrating the demand for such schemes.
