Each year, our senior managers meet up to review how we have been doing over the year, discuss our key priorities and brainstorm ways through which to increase effective communication, performance and engagement in their regions.

The Leadership Conference is also an important opportunity for managers to share best practice, meet their peers from regions they would not usually deal with on day to day issues and to feel like a part of Morrison.

The main message from the Leadership Conference is to aim to be the best at everything we do and lead by example. We must all do our part to do the best job for our customers, give our people the best support and development and give an outstanding performance by going the extra mile in our day jobs.

To encourage everyone to be the best during the conference and reinforce this theme, managers are given a selection of workshop activities to complete during the meeting where points can be won or lost depending on performance and business knowledge.

This year, as part of the second day’s activity, all the attendees, together with a number of clients, successfully completed two community projects in Gateshead in just three hours!
